Balance or Owing

One simple rule everywhere: before a gig, the unpaid part is its Balance. It only becomes Owing once the gig has happened and isn't marked paid. No warning colours for gigs still to come.

  1. OwingPlayed gigs that aren't paid.
  2. BalanceGigs ahead: no deposit yet, or a deposit in. No warning colour.

How to

  1. Balance or To collect: what's left on gigs still to come. Shown in normal colours.
  2. Owing: a played gig, not cancelled, not marked paid. Shown as something to chase.
  3. The rule uses the venue's time zone, so a gig tonight in another province isn't owing until it's over there.
  4. It's the same on Home, All gigs (⋯ → Totals), the gig page, Money, invoices, insights and the client's app.

Tip

Clients see "Balance due" with the date before the gig. They never see the word owing.
